Exhibit 3 — The Gifts
451 Gifts. $499,249. One Very Well-Taken-Care-Of Attorney General.
Alan Wilson has spent sixteen years letting corporations and interest groups pick up his tab, while South Carolina families picked up theirs alone.
Since he first won office, Alan Wilson has reported 451 gifts worth $499,249.7 More than half came from the Republican Attorneys General Association and its Rule of Law Defense Fund, groups bankrolled by corporations with business in front of attorneys general. Beer wholesalers, liquor distributors, and a private aviation company paid for more.
In 2025 alone, Wilson's gift disclosures list a Trump inauguration package worth about $4,639, $6,577 in New York City lodging, a Miami trip with “Miami Ritz food/beverage” written on the form, and $5,148 in summer meeting lodging. In 2024 he took gifted trips to Normandy worth about $16,849, Taiwan worth about $10,070, and Israel worth about $4,903.7
He has also struggled to report it all. Wilson has gone back and amended his disclosures to add private flights he left off, including a $1,099.87 flight from a $17,500 donor and a $1,588.35 private “Flight to NH” that he added in May 2026, in the middle of his run for governor.7
